When and Why Clove Dental Was Founded

Clove Dental was founded in 2011 by Mr. Amarinder Singh, a Harvard-educated entrepreneur with a strong background in global business leadership, to make quality dental care accessible, affordable, and trustworthy for every Indian.

Drawing from his extensive experience in leading global organizations like SAP and Procter & Gamble, Mr. Singh recognized the need to bring the same standards of efficiency, technology, and ethics to Indian healthcare. Inspired by his own experience with inadequate treatment and the widespread neglect of oral health, he set out to remove barriers of cost, fear, and awareness..

What began as a vision to make dental care accessible for all with a single clinic has today grown into India’s largest dental network with over 650 clinics and 1,500+ dentists delivering world-class technology, safety, and care across the country. Powered by AI integration and strategic operations, Clove continues to enhance clinical precision, optimize patient journeys, and serve nearly 100,000 patients every month.

Clove Dental (a brand name of M/s. Star Dental Centre Private Limited) is the largest network of dental clinics in India. Since inception in 2011, we have been persistent in our tunnel vision and ardently strive to offer global standards of dentistry in every neighbourhood across the subcontinent. Spread across 715+ clinics Clove manages an excess of 3 million + patients served . In addition, we have conducted about 20 lakh + treatments in the last thirteen years.
Clove Dental is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, has recruited over 1200 + dentists and set the highest thresholds for hygiene, clinic safety, transparency, ethics, and customer service. For instance, the Clove Dental Four-Step Protocol guarantees that each instrument and surface that comes in contact with patients is thoroughly sterilized prior to the next patient’s consult.
With a presence in 26 cities and over 715+ clinics, we have proudly served more than 1.5 million treatments over the past 10 years. Currently, we are serving over 200,000 patients every month. Apart from precision in operations, technology, investment and ethics, we have laid crucial and indispensable emphasis on the following core values: trust, respect and integrity. The trust of patients through clinical quality, hygiene and excellence in service; the respect of customers, team members, vendors and support staff through compassion, cooperation, rights and privacy; and integrity in ethics, honesty, learning and conflicts of interest have been the pillars of the Clove environment and culture.
Clove has conducted numerous dental programmes for thousands of underprivileged adults and children while allocating resources for oral healthcare in under-served communities. We also provide vocational training and skill development courses to under-privileged adults preparing them for employment in dental labs that fabricate dental crowns, bridges and dentures.
Clove has also initiated Data Quality Management (DQM), an administration type that incorporates the role establishment and deployment, policies, responsibilities and processes in terms of data acquisition, maintenance, disposition and distribution. DQM invariably improves quality of organizational data to thereon achieve the data dependent business goals like customer relationship management (CRM).
Though our aspiration has always been that in the future the ‘Gold Standard of dentistry’ becomes the ‘Clove Standard of dentistry’, we have laid equal emphasis on staying true to our roots. Our eyes may envision a continual climb, but we strive to have our feet firmly planted on the ground.
